Géraldine Marmier : Musical and artistic Direction

Born in Alsace, and living in Zurich since 2007, she studied music in Freiburg im Breisgau, Strasbourg and Zurich. A gold medallist at the Strasbourg Conservatoire in jazz singing and improvisation, with classical singing as a second discipline, she has made a name for herself as a choral conductor in Zurich. She holds a DAS in choral conducting and a CAS in orchestral conducting (Zurich University of the Arts 2020).

In 2010, she founded and directed the Chœur Francophone de Zurich (CFZH), and initiated the Association des Chorales Franco-Allemandes de Zurich and the Chorale d’Enfants Franco-Allemande programme (since 2017).

From 2019 to 2021, she will set up and conduct the Lunchtime Orchestra at the Zurich University of the Arts. In the past, she has been musical director of the vocal quartet Sh’boom (2007-2010), the Ad-Hoc Chor Urdorf (2010-2024), the vocal ensembles Jazzcetera in Zurich (2012-2014) and JAvoiceZZ in Wettingen (2010-2020), with which she came 6th in the Swiss choral competition in 2017. She has also been a qualified Alexander Technique teacher since 2009. Thanks to her rich and varied career, she has established herself as a leading figure in choral conducting and vocal music in Zurich. Her many projects, from founding choirs to conducting orchestras, bear witness to her commitment and ability to bring people together around music.

Erwan Tacher : Musical and artistic Direction

Born in the Paris region and of Breton origin, Erwan Tacher began playing the piano at the age of eight. After working as an engineer in Denmark, he returned to France and studied singing, composition and choral conducting at the Conservatoire Régional de Nantes.

Erwan Tacher went on to study opera singing at the Musikhochschule in Lübeck, taking part in masterclasses with the likes of Alain Buet, Jean-Luc Chaignaud, Daniel Fueter, Carroll Freemann and Olaf Bär. He completed his studies with a Master’s degree in opera singing at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, specialising in singing pedagogy. He then trained in Vocal Painting and in conducting pop and jazz choirs at the RAMA Vocal Center (Denmark).

On stage, Erwan Tacher has performed as a soloist and in the choirs of several operas in Germany, and in numerous concerts as a performer of French chanson, notably with the Duo Javanaise. He currently directs several choirs and teaches singing in Bremen.

Pepper Club : Jazz Trio

Romain Schmitt
Romain Schmitt is the drummer and arranger behind the group Pepper Club.
From an early age, he acquired a broad knowledge of music and its history.
As well as being recognised by his peers as a talented musician, he also has a career in sound design and artistic direction.
After extensive training in conducting and writing, he was responsible for the artistic direction of the monumental ‘Disney in Concert’ tour.
More recently, he wrote the soundtrack for the musical ‘Rififi’.

Michel Ott
Virtuoso pianist, keyboardist, composer, arranger, producer and musical director…
Michel Ott has worked on numerous variety and jazz projects, including :
le cabaret des Scouts, Virgine Schaeffer, Jewly, Cookie Dingler, Matskat, Franck Wolf,
Christian Fougeron (Raft), French Acoustic, Six de sax, Sum Brazil, Assako, Clémentine, etc.
Numerous references have been produced and recorded in his own studio.

 

 

Jérôme Wolf
Around the age of 12, listening to a solo by Baron Browne was a revelation for the electric bass.
After graduating in musicology at Strasbourg University, he specialised in improvised music and Latin jazz.
This led to encounters with Cuban pianists Alfredo Rodriguez and Numidia Vaillant.
He plays the double bass and 6-, 7- and 10-string basses, among other instruments.
To promote these instruments, he created the Bass6 website and founded the baZic’ association.

PEPPER CLUB the band is a luxurious collective of highly talented musicians created and directed by Romain Schmitt.
The repertoire is vast and varied, ranging from covers to original compositions, with influences from soul, jazz, funk, Latin and more.
Pepper Club is the choice of a group of professional musicians who can adapt to any event: accompanying artists, receptions, galas, studio recordings, artistic events…
The school offers a wide range of musical training courses. The size of these groups varies according to the type of event and the style required.
